OUR FOUNDER AND CEO

Danielle is a Dallas, Texas native and the Founder and CEO of Dani's Butterfly Girls. She is passionate about helping teen girls overcome obstacles and adversities they may face from their communities and past traumatic events as she is no stranger to many of the challenges inner city youth face. She survived physical/emotional/sexual abuse, homelessness, foster care, teen pregnancy and domestic violence all before graduating high school.

Despite all of these challenges she recognized that education, self-determination, and mentorship were tools needed to create a productive and impactful life. Through her obstacles and being a teen mom, she graduated high school in three years with honors from Dallas ISD. She went on to become a licensed Cosmetologist and a Registered Nurse obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Science Center. She is also a self-published author writing her first book during nursing school titled "Family Secrets: Breaking the Chains".

Danielle started a youth group prior to getting accepted into nursing school in 2013. Community volunteering and being a positive resource for the youth was a highlight during this time. She knew this was her calling and truly enjoyed working with the teens in the community. Recognizing the importance of education, in late 2015 she paused the youth group to begin her degree. Although the parents fully supported her efforts with the teens, she needed to place her focus on her grades and education. Now a post graduate, Danielle decided to pursue her calling yet again, but this time she embarked to make it official with a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. She is dedicated to help encourage and guide teen girls to go beyond what they see and thrive to become what they are destined to be. She strongly believes- "With LOVE every caterpillar becomes a butterfly with TIME, let's GROW together".
